Hand Made Wooden Double Glazed Windows
CIDA make wooden casement windows with high performance double glazed units as replacements for existing units or for new builds. The majority of windows I make are in European Oak or painted Sapele. The double glazing is with insulated, argon filled glass with Warm Edge spacer bars to give the highest performance from a double glazed pane. The opening windows have Aquamac weather seals routed into the frame and are mounted on friction hinges with a storm seal to protect against draughts. I am able to offer installation on the windows if required.

A Pennine farmhouse which required replacement of all windows and doors. Made in European Oak and varnished with Sadoloin Clear Coat Extra. The owners wanted to achieve as close as possible to Passive House status and so the quality of the double glazing and the draught sealing was extremely important.

The windows were mounted between replacement stone mullions. The clients wanted the mullions to be covered by wood. The windows had to be accurately fitted and then mullion boards carefully fitted between.

I have been commissioned to replace the windows and some doors on this Wiltshire cottage. This picture shows replacement windows on the ground floor that have been made by CIDA. The upper windows will be replaced to complete the job in 2018.
