Hand Made Oak Doors for a Cosy Cottage or Contemporary Home

CIDA Ledged Plank Doors
The majority of doors that I produce are the 'cottage style' ledged plank door. I make these mainly in European Kiln Dried Prime Oak. The planks can be fitted with handmade rose head nails, wooden pegs, or screwed and plugged. The doors can be oiled or varnished and fitted with strap hinges and Suffolk Latches or tubular locks and butt hinges.

The Muirhall Door
I designed this for a bespoke series of holiday cottages on the Scottish Borders and I feel this door offers a more contemporary take on the 'Cottage' door. It has the addition of a full thickness first plank to which the hinges are fitted. The ledges are then tenoned into this which offers greater stability.

Other Doors
I am aware that there are many low cost veneered panel doors on the market which I am unable to compete with for price. Therefore, it is likely that my panel doors are for where only solid oak doors feels right or where modern composite doors would not be allowed.
