Beautiful Wooden Doors - The Gateway to Your Home

CIDA Oak Doors

These doors are individually hand made using traditional carpentry skills and modern construction equipment. They are  constructed from Quartersawn Air Dried European Oak - for greater stability and the most attractive grain. This produces strong doors, best protected from the effects of moisture, and ones that will look good for years to come.
The doors are completely bespoke, if you look at the images in the gallery you will see a range of design options, but  I am able to work with you to produce exactly the door that you might want.

CIDA Hardwood Door

My painted hardwood doors are normally constructed from Sapele (a tropical hardwood with FSC and PEFC approval.  Sapele is relatively stable and durable and it takes paint well. I use Acrylic paints (Johnstones or Farrow and Ball). Other woods can be offered - Idigbo (similar in appearance to oak but more stable for harsher environments where a varnished door is wanted) or Iroko (very stable and durable but does not take varnish as well).

Frames

The majority of my doors are supplied with matching frames. These will have Aquamac 21 weather seals routed in and a Stormguard Threshold Strip will be supplied. In addition, where a frame is supplied the door will be fully fitted to it and tested for fit – this will reduce the time required for installation on site.

Other Information
The doors are supplied with stainless steel 4” ball bearing butt hinges and with two locks (Sashlock and Mortice Lock).

CIDA construct planked doors, panelled doors, glazed doors, stable doors, cart doors & French doors.  I can offer other options.
