My workshop is based in the conservation village of Elsecar, in South Yorkshire. I inhabit part of the former ironworks and colliery workshops of the Earl Fitzwilliam.
The buildings have been restored and alongside my workshop are the antiques centre, auction room, craft workshops and boutique shops that make for an interesting visit any day of the week (10am – 5pm). I feel privileged to be working at the Heritage Centre, as the whole site so closely represents the aesthetic of CIDA Wood Design and allows me to be part of a truly honorable tradition of bespoke production.
I have invested in brand new workshop equipment from leading wood machinery manufacturers – Felder and Sedgwick and I have installed efficient dust extraction. This investment should lead to greater efficiency and improved health and safety.
I cannot open the workshop to the public on a daily basis, as the workshop is a dangerous environment. I shall open for viewings once a month, and a list of these dates are listed on the contact page. I am happy to make appointments at other times that suit you by contacting me in advance.
